In the right place, at the right time.

A few minutes away from the motorway, a few miles away from the Glasgow International Airport, Central Quay’s strategic position means time is always on your side.

Glasgow is Scotland’s main transport centre, with excellent road, rail, shipping and air services. It boasts the UK’s largest suburban rail network outside of London.

Central Quay is only 7 miles from Glasgow International Airport, the UK’s fourth busiest airport, handling 9 million passengers per year, travelling to over 80 national and international destinations. Glasgow International Airport offers over 70 flights each weekday to all London airports and important regional business centres.

The Central Station is a 12-minute walk, providing easy access to all major cities, with London under 5 hours away. Nearby Anderston station provides a fast link to both Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations and Glasgow’s substantial underground and suburban rail network.

Central Quay is minutes from the M8 motorway and the A814 (Clydeside Expressway) and benefits from excellent bus services.

Future Developments

Glasgow is determined to ensure that its transport infrastructure retains its premier league status, well into the 21st Century and as such a number of infrastructure projects are planned. These include:

  • A ten-year, £290 million investment in the airport by BAA which predicts up to 24 million passengers by 2030.
  • An extension of the M74 motorway from its current end point at Cambuslang, along a five-mile route, to link up with the M8 west of the Kingston Bridge. This £500 million investment will reduce journey times across Glasgow and improve access across the entire Clyde corridor is currently under construction and is due to complete in 2011.
